Life & Money Goals April 2018: Bye, Bye Car Payment!

This post is an effort to put my goals out there and stay accountable! Every month, I will share with you our family goals for the month… hopefully I can share the success with you at the end of the month or if not–that too ๐Ÿ˜‰

Money Goals:

Make the final payment on our Nissan: We bought a new-to-us Nissan 4 years ago and we should be making our final payment this month! Our payment is $440 a month but to completely close the account, we need to pay $700 (taxes and fees) — I’m hoping to not extend the extra $300 and find room in our budget to make that final payment + the remainder.

Seeking employment: George and I are both looking forward to new chapters in employment. George has a new prospect as far as a new position at his current employer and if this happens– he will get a great raise that will help us FINALLY start building our savings once again.

I am also looking for employment. Kinda. I’m looking for new clients to work within the online space. Mostly as an online business manager or project manager. Now that my pregnancy is over and I’ve somewhat started feeling normal again, I’m using my 8 years of online experience to help others build their businesses online! Taking a couple of new clients will help us reach our savings goals once again.

(currently how I work. :D)

Life Goals:

Get our pre-baby routine back: SPRING BREAK is almost over!! Having a baby and mixing in spring break, our family schedules have been completely out of whack. I’m ready to get back into the grind of things and hopefully have some normalcy back. I’m not ashamed to say that my kids have been playing a lot of video games and we’ve eaten out a couple times more than I’d like over this last two weeks. Recovering from birth, figuring out schedules and adding a new family member to the family is not an easy thing!

Start Bullet Journaling again: My Bullet Journal has always been the THING to keep my organized and sane. This is actually how I keep track of our expenses and bills as well.. I fell off the wagon awhile ago and I really need to get back into it.

Blog every day. This is pretty straightforward. I need to blog every day on pressurecookermeals or smartmoneymom.

That is it for this month! Nothing totally crazy because I’m a firm believer in starting small. ๐Ÿ™‚ Head back at the end of the month to see which goals we achieved and what our May goals will include.

Do you have any money/life goals this month??!
