What to expect here on Southern Cali Saver

Yesterday I made a post about things I am changing in our family. Ultimately, this will also change some things here on Southern Cali Saver. In case you missed it–you can read that HERE.

Just to clarify.. here are the things that will stay on the blog:

— Selective toiletry deals

— Household item deals

— selective food deals (mainly going for a organic all natural route)

— selective coupons (coupon round ups)

— Weekly Match Ups

— Weekly Ad Scans

— Ralphs Meal Plans

— Weekly Wallet Watch

— Selective HOT deals.

— Amazon deals

What you will see MORE of:

— organic/all natural coupons

— money saving articles

— organic/all natural Amazon deals

— Organic Articles related to certain products our family uses

— articles on living on less

— personal shopping trips

— our path to a healthier lifestyle

— non GMO eating

– more meal plans

— deals that require no coupons or online shopping.

The main point is that SCS will be more SELECTIVE regarding what is posted. I won’t post every free deodorant deal, toothpaste deal, laundry product deal.. etc. Overall, you will see more content and less “stocking up” and buying only what you need.

Our family will still use our favorite laundry detergents, toilet paper and etc. We are focusing more on changing our food items.

I absolutely love the direction you are going!! My family have done the same exact thing. More organic, fresh food and worrying less about stocking up on chips that will last us for the next two years. I really appreciate all of the hard work you put into this blog, I visit it daily. Keep up the good work and I look forward to some great articles and good deals on fresh food 🙂

  • Sharee says:

I think your change in direction is very similar to mine. I will continue to subscribe to your blog. You do you!!!!

  • Maria O. says:

I love the new direction you are going. I try to buy mostly organic and non-GMO foods whenever I can afford it for my family of five. Unfortunately, organic food is usually more expensive, so thank you for posting more deals for those foods.

  • Kelly A. says:

Thanks for keeping us posted on all of the changes – I consider them very positive changes. Who says you can’t save money and eat healthy too, right? Good health is definitely worth more food prep time and maybe a little more at the grocery store.

  • Tracy says:

    Hey Josie,

Just wondering if you will be including Clarks as one of the store options in the future?

  • Marlene says:

Awesome, Josie! You are the best.

  • Jacqui says:

You might try Azure Standard for bulk natural/organic food and household supplies. This has become one of my family’s top spots for organic pantry staples and non-GMO chicken feed.
